Welcome to HazardMapping.com. Our website displays an in-depth earthquake/seismic risk analysis for the downtown core of Vancouver British Columbia. The results produce an estimated number (per building) for each of the following categories: Structural Damage %, Non-structural Damage % (Acceleration-sensitive components, displacement sensitive components, and building contents), Monetary losses, slight injuries, serious injuries, life-threatening injuries, and casualties. These results are summed on a per block basis so the spatial distribution of the results could be displayed and analyzed using a Geographic Information System (GIS).
